 First Admission:    (For Admission form see downloads)             
 Eligibility Criteria:Application for the admission of a student to a school for the first time in 9th Class must be filled in the candidate own handwriting on the prescribed form along with school Leaving Certificate of 8thclass from the school last attended, and signed by the parent or guardian of the child seeking admission.
The students coming from other states to seek admission in Himachal Pradesh will get their school  leaving certificates counter signed by the respective District Officer of Education of concerned district of the State.
 Admission Schedule:
(i) In case of 9th and 10thClass the admissions will start from 1st April to 7th April every year. Regular classes will start on 8th April itself.
(ii) The provisional admission for 10+1 and 10+2 classes will start on Roll On basis w.e.f. 1st April up to 10 days without late fee.
For the next 20 days Principal will be competent to admit the students with a late fee of Rs.10/-. After this no admission will take place at any circumstance. The regular classes will start from 11th April positively every year, if in case there is a holiday on11thApril, it will be next working day.
 Transfer Certificate:
(i) A student leaving one school may not be admitted to another without the production of a transfer certificate in the prescribed form, issued by the last school attended. The parents/guardians of the ward may be guided to get the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) countersigned by the Deputy Director of Higher Education of the concerned district, if he/she intends to go out of Himachal Pradesh.
(ii) In case, the SLC is not issued during the month in which the name of the students is struck off, late certificate fee at the prescribed rate will be charged.
(iii) When one SLC has been issued in favour of a student and duplicate SLC is demanded the prescribed fee is to be charged. The name of mother along with the name of father will be recorded in future in all educational documents e.g. admission forms,
examination forms and certificates to be issued by the H.P. Board of School Education.

SCHEME OF SENIOR SECONDARY PART-I (10+1)1. Admission to class +1 of Senior Secondary course in the institution shall be open to a student who has passed :- 
(A) Matriculation or Higher Secondary Part-I examination of the Board of School Education Himachal Pradesh. OR 
(B) Any other examination recognized by the Board of School Education Himachal Pradesh as equivalent to (‘A’) above, provided that the candidate has Qualified in English, Maths, Science and Hindi as subjects.
 PROVIDED FURTHER THAT STUDENTS OFFERING :-
(a)Science group must have secured at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
(b)Commerce group must have got at least 45% marks in the aggregate.
(c)Humanities group must have obtained at least 33% marks in the aggregate.
 2. A candidate who has been placed under compartment in one subject only in the examination in clause (A) or (B) above may be admitted to +1 class provisionally provided he/she has got requisite percentage of aggregate including the marks obtained by him/her in the subject in which placed under compartment as stated in clause (a), (b), (c), (d) of I above. Note 5% relaxation in marks will be given to S.C./S.T. candidate as per H.P. Board of School education/Education department.
3.A candidate who fails twice in +1 shall not be re-admitted to that class.
4.No student who has attained the age of 20 years on 31st March shall be admitted to the class +1 of a recognized institution.
(a) In case of SC/ST students the age limit is enhanced by 3 years.
(b)Subject to the approval of the Himachal Pradesh Board/Education department.
 5 If a statement made by parents/guardians of a student or by himself/herself, if he/she was major at the time of his/her admission to school, found to contain any willful misrepresentation of facts regarding the students career, the head of the institution may punish him/her by expulsion and report the matter to Board. 
 The Institution offers the following groups in different discipline :

 SCIENCE GROUP :

NOTE :- Limited Seats in Single Teacher Subjects. Admission in these subjects will be on first come first served basis.
 ADMISSION TO +2 COURSES1. Admission to Class +2 courses shall be open to a candidate who passed :-
(a)The class +1 examination.
(b) Pre-University Examination Himachal Pradesh University/Higher Secondary Part (ii) Examination of the Board of School Education Himachal Pradesh. 
(c)  Any other examination recognized by the Board of School Education H.P. equivalent to (a) or (b) above provided that the candidate has qualified in English as one of his/her subjects provided further that a student coming from a Board/ University outside Himachal Pradesh shall have to furnish migration certificate by the University/Board concerned.
 2.The admission cases coming from abroad or in respect of the examination equivalence not been established may be referred to the Board for clarification. 
3.A candidate who fails twice in +2 will not be re-admitted to that class. 
4.Transfer of a student from the institution to another will be allowed before his/her name has been sent up for the examination of the Board. 
5.If a statement made by parents or guardian of a student or himself/herself, if he/she was major at the time of his/her admission to school is found to contain any willful misrepresentation of facts regarding the students career the Head of the institution may punish him/her by expulsion and report the matter to the Board. 
6.No student who has attained the age of 21 years on 31st March shall be admitted to the class 10+2             
(a) In case of SC/ST students the age limit is enhanced by three years subjects to the approval of H.P. Board of School Education/Education department. 


RULES FOR PERMITTING CHANGE OF SUBJECTS1. Change of only one subject in +2 is admissible only in Humanities and Commerce group.  Particular sanction of changing one subject may be accorded by the Head of the Institution before 30th September i.e. before sending the admission form. No permission will be accorded after that date.
 2.If any candidate wants to change two subjects after passing +1 examination the permission of the chairman of the Board of School Education must be sought as special case. 
3.The candidates of Science group are not allowed to change any subject after passing+1 examination. 
4.The candidate after passing plus one examination in science and commerce can change to Humanities group.


 ADMISSION TO RESULT LATE CASES             A candidate whose result has been declared later by the board may seek provisional admission without late fee within 10 days after declaration of his/her result.


 ELIGIBILITY OF EXAMS1.The candidate who has attended not less than 75% of full course of lectures and practicals (if applicable) arranged for his class in each of the subjects offered counted from the last date of admission without late fee up to the last day (to be when the classes break up for preparatory holidays) Provided further that in case of a candidate who has been admitted late in an affiliated institution due to late declaration of his/her result the attendance will be counted from the date of admission to institution. 
2. If candidates attendance up to the date of submission of the application for admission fall short of the required percentage the head of the institution shall send his/her application for admission provisionally. 
3.If a candidate falls short of the required percentage of attendance up to the last date when the classes break up for preparatory holidays, the Head of the Institution shall report the fact to the Board and withdraw his admission application.  The admission fee of such a candidate has obtained will be forfeited. 
4.A candidate must obtained at least 25% marks in the aggregate of the subjects in the house examination.  If the candidate fails to fulfill the condition the Principal at his own discretion may hold a special test for such candidates.  A candidates in order to become eligible for admission to the examination shall be required to obtain at least 40% marks in the aggregate.
